Meet Our Team
Marissa Meshulam, founder & dietitian
My name is Marissa Meshulam and I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and the founder of MPM Nutrition.
Born and raised in Chicago, IL, I moved to NYC to finish school to become an RD. I have a Bachelors of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Wisconsin and a Masters of Science from New York University.
While completing my dietetic internship at the Bronx VA Hospital, I saw firsthand how a lack of proper nutrition can lead to chronic disease. I then went on to work at Mount Sinai as an inpatient dietitian, where I worked with thousands of patients who were overwhelmed by nutrition. During my time inside hospitals, my interest in using food as prevention grew. My true passion lies in incorporating healthy foods earlier on as a means of avoiding certain diseases & helping guide individuals towards what works best for their body.
MY FOOD PHILOSOPHY IS SIMPLE & INCLUSIVE.
Instead of categorizing foods as “good” or “bad” & spending time talking about foods we shouldn’t eat, I work with my clients to help them eat more real, whole foods that fit their preferences.
I am a firm believer that good nutrition is the key we are all given to unlock the door to our healthiest life.
I take an individualized approach to nutrition counseling, serving my clients by understanding their whole history to then guide them to their desired future. Trained in MB-EAT (mindfulness based eating awareness training), I encourage a mindful approach to food. I help people unlearn food rules engrained from years of dieting and instead relearn how to listen to their bodies. I believe the true key to wellness lies somewhere between the Whole Food’s produce aisle and the line for Ample Hill’s ice cream. After all, life is complicated, but food does not have to be.

Avia Goldstein, associate dietitian
My name is Avia Goldstein, I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and an associate RD at MPM Nutrition.
My interest in nutrition started early on when my Grandpa taught me about organic food and antioxidants long before they were trendy. Learning about food and its impact on how we feel fueled my passion into my career. I completed my Bachelors of Science at Rutgers University, dietetic internship and Masters in Nutrition Science at Lehman College in NYC.
I have served thousands of patients through my clinical work at Mount Sinai as an inpatient dietitian and individual nutrition counseling in corporate wellness.
My approach to wellness is all encompassing.
I encourage and guide my clients to zoom out and look at the big picture to what collectively makes you feel your best. Food is always part of the conversation, but so is movement, mindful eating, sleep hygiene and stress reduction.
When I’m not seeing clients, you can find me exploring new restaurants in NYC, getting my endorphin fix with various workouts and on the hunt for another hike in the beautiful Catskills!
